Volunteers

We need proactive committed volunteers to set up and manage 'Knitting for the Needy' groups in their local areas.

Who can volunteer? Anyone! (Even if you can't knit)

We can't do it without you!

Knitting For The Needy Nomination For Frank Mcaskill Award

Last year i was honoured to receive a certificate of nomination for the Frank Mcaskill award for my work with knitting for the needy.

The award is for recognition of outstanding community work for ‘The improvement of the quality of life for senior citizens in the Manly Warringah Pittwater Area’. I was nominated by Helen Pook at Lifeline. Thanks so much for your support lifeline and Manly council! And yes – as you can see i went to the ceremony in my thongs! I live at the beach so i figured i could get away with it!
